OUR REQUIREMENTS

FLEA POLICY

Please help us maintain a Flea-Free Zone! If fleas are discovered on your pet during their groom, we will be obligated to give your pet a Flea Bath at an additional charge. Please note that this will only kill the fleas on the pets skin, and you will need to wash your pets bedding and blankets at home.

VACCINATION Requirements

We care about your pets health! We require your dog to have their Rabies vaccination as required by law, and that your dog is current on DHPP (Distemper, Hepatitis, Parvovirus, Parainfluenza), Bordetella and Canine Influenza. For cats we require Rabies, Feline Calicivirus, Feline Panleukopenia, and Feline Herpesvirus-1. If your pet cannot get these vaccinations for whatever reason we recommend you seek out a mobile grooming service.

OUR RECOMMENDATIONS

If your pet as any special needs or behavior problems, please let us know at the time of your appointment so we can schedule accordingly. For their safety and comfort, some pets may not be able to receive our grooming services based on age, health, behavior, and condition of their coat.

Matted Pets

Dogs with severely matted coats require extra attention. The Dog House Pet Salon will not cause serious or undue stress to pets de-matting by brushing if the matting is too severe. Mats can be difficult to remove and may require the pet to be shaved. We charge matting fees that depend upon the time our groomer takes to shave or brush your pet. If the matting is too severe that we can’t shave to remove the matting, or we find health concerns under the matting; we may refer you to a veterinarian that will do the grooming instead. We will not be held liable for any irritations or injuries discovered under the matting due to the neglect.

PUPPIES and Kittens

Puppies and kittens must be 16 weeks or older in order to book for their grooming. We recommend you start them as soon as possible in the grooming process to ensure a stress free life at the salon.

HEALTH & AGE

If your pet is elderly, suffering from a health issue, or under veterinary care for a condition that might be worsened by grooming, we may require a medical release from your veterinarian or refuse service. We love and care for all pets and want what’s best for your pets safety. If we do get a medical release, we may have to do a modified service which typically is a short practical haircut strictly for the pets comfort.

ANXIETY

If your dog suffers from extreme anxiety, or exhibits extreme nervousness, fear or excitement, please help them feel more at ease during grooming by increasing their exercise prior to your appointment. Additionally, please inform our Grooming Team of known anxiety issues when booking your appointment so we can book accordingly.

AGGRESSIVE BEHAVIOR

If your pet becomes too aggressive or agitated to be safely groomed, our staff will end the service and not attempt to force the grooming on the pet. This is for the safety of both our staff and your pet.

OUR GUARANTEE

We want you to be 100% satisfied with the grooming services you receive. After every groom, our stylists will review the results with you to make sure you are happy! If you notice anything that you don’t like when you get home, please call us within 24 hours so that our Stylists can schedule a time to alter the groom to your liking. Follow-up appointments must be scheduled no more than 7 days after the initial groom. If a correction is not possible, your account can be credited for the next visit.

SERVICES & PRICING

Our menu prices are a general guideline for services; however, the actual pricing of your services may vary based on breed, size, temperament, condition, and length of your dog’s coat. A good faith estimate can be provided before the service is started.

RESERVATIONS

Reservations are required for grooming services. We do have “Same-Day” Appointments offered, however, this is only for Nail Trims. Current vaccination records are required for all pets, including Nail Trims.

Coupons and Rewards

All Coupons are one per purchaser, all coupons have a 24 hour cancellation policy, if you cancel within 24 hours or no show for your appointment you forfeit your coupon.

SCHEDULING & CANCELLATIONS

We will do our best to accommodate your schedule, but here are some things to keep in mind:

Late Policy

We have a 15 minute grace period if you are running late to your appointment. If you arrive after 15 minutes, we may have to modify what we can do for your appointment or reschedule your appointment for another day. If we do have to reschedule due to tardiness, the 24 hour cancellation still applies. If our Stylists are able to accommodate your dog, a $15 late fee may be added. If you know you will be late for your appointment, please call and let our Grooming Team know as soon as possible!

Appointment Timing

At drop-off, our stylists will provide an estimated completion time for your pet’s service. Service duration can vary depending on your pet’s size, temperament, and coat condition. We make every effort to begin appointments as scheduled; however, occasional delays may occur due to unforeseen circumstances.

Special Services and creative grooming

If you would like to book a creative grooming appointment (dog safe hair dye), please let our staff know at the time of making the appointment so we can take the extra time into account for your appointment. Creative grooming requires extra time so we may deny the service if we are notified at the time of the appointment. We schedule according to time lengths to ensure every pet is not waiting a long time for a service. At the start of a regular grooming session, this would be the time to let your Stylist know if you want any upgraded services so we can add that onto your tab. Those upgraded services include any upgrade shampoo or conditioner, de-shedding service, nail painting, or hot towel service.

Pick-Up Window

For your dog’s comfort and due to limited salon space, we ask that all pets be picked up within 60 minutes of our call notifying you that they are ready. After the initial hour, a $20 daycare fee will be applied, with an additional $20 charged for each hour thereafter.

All dogs must be picked up no later than 15 minutes after closing. A $50 late pick-up fee will be charged beginning 15 minutes after closing, plus $1 per minute for any additional time. If your pet has not been picked up within one hour of closing, overnight boarding will be required and a $350 kennel fee will be applied.

We know your dog would much rather be at home with you, so we appreciate your prompt pick-up!

Rescheduling

If you have to reschedule your appointment, please call 24 hours before your appointment to ensure a cancellation fee (50% Service Cost) is not applied. Our Stylists will work with you to reschedule you for the next available appointment.

Cancellations and No Show Fees

If you do not show up to your scheduled appointment, or cancel less than 24 hours before your appointment, a fee that is 50% the cost of the service may be applied.
